Internal HDD Submenu Items
Menu Item Settings (default is bold)
LBA Mode Control
Enabled, Disabled
When Enabled is selected, it causes logical
block addressing to be used in place of
cylinders, heads, and sectors.
When Type is set to Auto, the value in the
LBA Mode field is auto-detected and the field
is read only.
32-Bit I/O
Disabled, Enabled
When Enabled, allows 32 bit data transfers.
Transfer Mode Standard, Fast PIO1, Fast PIO2, Fast PIO3,
Fast PIO4, Fast PIO3/DMA1, Fast
PIO4/DMA2
Selects the method for moving data to and
from the drive.
When Type is set to Auto, the value in the
field is auto-detected and the field is read
only.
Ultra DMA Mode
Disabled, Mode 0, Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3,
Mode 4
Selects the Ultra DMA Mode for moving data
to and from the drive. Autotype the drive to
select the optimum transfer mode.
When Type is set to Auto, the value in the

only.
Advanced Menu
Choose the Advanced menu by selecting Advanced in the legend bar on the Main menu
screen. Other Advanced menu options are available by selecting submenus.
Use the arrow keys to select one of the Advanced menu options and press Enter to
select a submenu. Items with grayed-out text are not available. Explanations of each
Advanced menu item are in the following table.
