Preparations
9 Double-click the icon on the desktop, start up Win-
dows
®
Media Players, and agree to the license agreement.
After this, start up the application following the instructions on the screen.
z During this process, you will be required to agree to the license agree-
ment.
z If [I Decline] is selected or a window is closed without any decision being
made in the license agreement, no icons on the desktop may be selected.
In this case, restart the computer.
z To have DVD video and MPEG files played back automatically on WinDVD
(Î “Chapter 3: Watching DVD Video” in onscreen Reference Manual),
remove the check mark from [DVD Video] and [Movie file (mpeg)] on
screen A or B on the left.
A. When starting up Windows
®
Media Player for the first time, one of the set-
ting screens will be displayed.
After removing the check mark, select [Finish].
B. After starting up Windows
®
Media Player, the screen will be displayed when
[Tools] - [Options] - [File Types] is selected.
After removing the check mark, select [Apply].
z After completing the settings, select on the screen of the Windows
®
Media Player.
