Intercom between the handset and the main
unit
A 2-way intercom is available between the handset and the main unit.
Paging the main unit from the handset

Handset:
Press (INTERCOM), then talk.
¡The INTERCOM indicator lights.

Main unit:
When the other party’s voice is heard,
answer through the microphone.
¡During the intercom, the main unit’s display
shows;

Handset:
To end the intercom, press (INTERCOM).
INTERCOM CALL
Paging the handset from the main unit (handset locator)
Using this feature, you can locate the handset if misplaced.

Main unit:
Press (LOCATOR/INTERCOM).
¡The IN USE indicator lights.
¡The handset beeps for 1 minute.
¡To stop paging, press
(LOCATOR/INTERCOM) again.

Handset:
Press (INTERCOM) to answer.

Main unit:
Speak into the microphone.
¡During the intercom, the main unit’s display
shows;

Handset:
To end the intercom, press (INTERCOM).
INTERCOM CALL
During the intercom
¡Intercom calls can only be ended by the handset.
¡If the handset user has difficulty hearing the main unit user, decrease the speaker volume by pressing
(VOLUME) (Z).
¡If two tones sound, an incoming call has been received. To answer, press (TALK) on the handset or
(SP-PHONE) on the main unit. The intercom is ended.
