Flood Specify the Flood setting. Flood refers to the method
in which interface modules handle unknown unicasts
(traffic directed to a single MAC Address), broadcasts
(traffic directed to all MAC Addresses) and multicasts
(traffic directed to multiple MAC Addresses) for each
port.
Upl (Uplink) – Unknown unicast, broadcast and
multicast traffic is flooded only to the DSLAM uplink
interface ports. This prevents communication
between interface ports without the intervention of
an upstream device such as a router. If
communication between interface ports is desired,
the upstream device must be properly configured
to allow it.
Vln (VLAN) – Unknown unicast, broadcast and
multicast traffic is flooded to the DSLAM’s ADSL
ports (within the sender's VLAN range) in addition
to the uplink interface ports.
Ethertype Specify the Ethertype of the backbone tag added to
traffic if the backbone VLAN ID is configured. Used
only in conjunction with backbone VLANs.
