4 Using the numeric keypad, enter the 2-digit number of the
function you want to change. The display shows the name
of the selected function.
5 Repeatedly press the No ᮣ key until the setting you want
appears in the display.

6 Press the Yes ᮤ key to confirm your selection. The name
of the next function setting appears in the display.
7 Press the Select Function key to finish.
Dial Parameter Settings
These functions allow you to control the way your fax
machine dials telephone numbers. Refer to the Dial Parameter
Settings List below to determine which settings you may
need to change, then refer to “Changing Your Dial Parameter
Settings” part of this section to make the change.
Dial Parameter Settings List
1 REDIAL TRIES
This function controls how many times your fax machine
automatically redials a number that is busy or does not
answer.
Available settings are from 0 to 10 tries.
Default: 3 tries.
2 REDIAL INTERVAL
This function controls how long your fax machine waits
between each automatic redial attempt.
Available settings are from 1 to 6 minutes.
Default: 3 minutes.
3 DIAL TONE DETECT
This function allows your fax machine to wait for and
detect a dial tone before proceeding with dialing.
Available settings are ON and OFF.
Default: OFF.
4 BUSY TONE DETECT
This function allows your fax machine to detect a busy
tone when sending a fax.
Available settings are ON and OFF.
Default: ON.
