Using a directly connected Color StyleWriter 6500
If your printer is connected directly to your computer with a serial cable,
follow these instructions for selecting it in the Chooser.
If your printer is connected to a LocalTalk network, see the next section,
“Using a Color StyleWriter 6500 on a LocalTalk Network.”
1Make sure the printer is turned on.
2Choose Chooser from the Apple (
K
) menu.
3In the Chooser dialog box, click the appropriate items to select them.
4Close the Chooser by clicking the close box in its upper-left corner.
5Notice the new desktop printer icon for the Color StyleWriter 6500.

Then click one of these
icons to indicate which port
you connected the printer to:
the printer port (
[
) or the
modem port (
W
).

After you close the Chooser, a desktop printer icon for
the Color StyleWriter 6500 appears on the desktop.
First, click this icon.
