7. With SCO OpenServer 5.0.6a, the system prompts for the bus
number of the tape drive. Since LSI Logic host adapters support only
one bus per adapter, press Enter to get the default of zero, or type 0
(zero) and press Enter.
8. The system prompts for the ID of the tape drive. Type the ID number
of the tape drive and press Enter.
9. The system prompts for the LUN of the tape drive. Type 0 (zero) and
press Enter. The system then prompts to update the Configuration
file. Type y and press Enter.
10. A list appears that shows the special devices created. Press Enter,
and another list appears that shows the links to the installed tape
drive. When prompted for a boot string, type q and press Enter to
return to the Tape Drive Configuration Program menu. Type q and
press Enter to terminate the Tape Drive Configuration Program menu.
11. A prompt appears to create a new kernel. Type y if this is the last
device to be added, or type n if additional devices are to be added.
Go to step 6, "Rebuilding the Kernel," if you replied y; return to step 3
if you replied n.
C4. Adding a CD-ROM Drive
NOTE: If you are not adding a CD-ROM drive to this system, go to
Step 6.
1. At the command prompt, type:
mkdev cdrom
Press Enter.
2. The CD-ROM Configuration Program menu appears. Select option 1
to install a CD-ROM drive and press Enter.
3. The system prompts to configure the CD-ROM Drive. Type y and
press Enter.
4. The system prompts for the identifier of the host adapter that
supports this device. If the default is correct, press Enter. If the
default is not correct, type:
lsil
Press Enter.
