Using BOOTP
in UNIX
Follow these steps to download the IP address using the BOOTP
method:
1. Append the following entry to your boot table. This is typically
performed by editing the file
/etc/bootptab.

2. If necessary, update your host table and alias name databases as
required by your system.
3. Start the BOOTP daemon, if it is not already running. This is
typically performed using the command
bootpd -a
4. Restart the AXIS 700 to download the IP address, default router
address and subnet mask. You can perform a restart remotely via the
AXIS 700 web interface. See Specifying System Settings ”on page 46.
