Chapter 5: Troubleshooting
5.1 Basic Functionality
This section deals with issues regarding your BiGuard 30’s basic functions.
5.1.1 Router Won’t Turn On
If the Power and other LEDs fail to light when your BiGuard 30 is turned on:
- Make sure that the power cord is properly connected to your firewall and that the
power supply adapter is properly connected to a functioning power outlet.
- Check that you are using the 12VDC power adapter supplied by Billion for this
product.
If the error persists, you may have a hardware problem, and should contact
technical support.
5.1.2 LEDs Never Turn Off
When your BiGuard 30 is turned on, the LEDs turn on for about 10 seconds and then
turn off. If all the LEDs stay on, there may be a hardware problem.
If all LEDs are still on one minute after powering up:
- Cycle the power to see if the router recovers.
- Clear the configuration to factory defaults.
If the error persists, you may have a hardware problem, and should contact
technical support.
5.1.3 LAN or Internet Port Not On
If either the LAN LEDs or Internet LED do not light when the Ethernet connection is
made, check the following:
- Make sure each Ethernet cable connection is secure at the firewall and at the hub
