Setup functions (d + A)
Various functions are available for changing the
general appearance of how text is shown on the
display and for adjusting the operation of the
P-touch.
To change the CONTRAST setting:
The CONTRAST function enables you to make
the LCD display lighter or darker.
1 Hold down

2 Rotate

until CONTRAST is displayed,
and then press

CONTRAST is displayed).
3 Rotate

) until the
desired setting is displayed.
4 Press

To change the TAPE LENGTH ADJUST
setting:
When printing a label with a specified length
(Tape length function), the length of the printed
label may be slightly different. This function
allows you to adjust the length of the printed
label.
1 Hold down

2 Rotate

until TAPE LENGTH ADJUST is
displayed, and then press
r

until TAPE LENGTH ADJUST is dis-

3 Rotate

NOTE
This step may be skipped if settings for several
Setup functions are being applied at the same time.
NOTE
To return the function to its default setting (0), press

If r is used to select the settings, only one function
can be set at a time. To apply several Setup settings
at the same time, press j or k to select the func-
tion, and then press m or g to select the desired
setting. Press n only after the necessary functions
have been set.

If the tape length cannot be adjusted satisfactorily
using this function, small adjustments can be made
to the tape length using the Tape length function.
