TAD-Mode for internal
TAD

The TAD feature will store up to 99 incoming
voice messages. Messages are stored in the
order in which they are received.
Voice messages can be up to 3 minutes in
length, and can also be picked up remotely.
(See Setting a Remote Access
Code on page 52.) The number of messages
you can store will depend on how much
memory is being used by other features (for
example, delayed and stored faxes).
In the event of a power failure your machine
will retain messages that are in the memory
for up to 24 hours.
Setting up the TAD 9
Recording the TAD outgoing message
(TAD Message) is the first step you need to
follow before you can use the TAD feature.
To enter TAD mode, follow the steps below:
a Record your TAD OGM.
b Press to activate the TAD mode.

You can record the following two different
types of OGM:
Your OGM must be less than 20 seconds
long.
a Press Menu, 2, 7, 1.
The LCD prompts you to choose an
OGM.
b Press a or b to choose TAD Message
or F/T Message then press OK.
c Press a or b to choose Record MSG.
Press OK.
d Record your message, do one of the
following:
(FAX-1460) Pick up the handset,
record your message and replace
the handset when you are finished.
(FAX-1560) Speak clearly toward the
integrated microphone to record
your message. Press Stop/Exit
when finished.
The TAD will play your OGM back to
you.
e Press Stop/Exit.

TAD This message will be played when a
call is received. The caller will be
able to leave a voice or fax message.
F/T This message is played when a call
is received and your machine is set
to Fax/Tel mode. The caller will not
be able to leave a message. See
page 48.
