3. DOC:ON, VOICE:OFF All memory is used to store fax
messages—no voice messages will be
stored.

:OFF, VOICE:ON All memory is used to store voice
messages—no fax messages will be stored.
Incoming faxes will print on paper. You
can use the Paging feature, and retrieve
voice messages remotely.
5. DOC:OFF, VOICE:EXT You need an external answering machine
connected to the fax machine for this
setting. Incoming faxes are not stored in
memory, but will print on paper. Voice
messages are stored in the external answering
machine.
6. DOC:OFF, VOICE:OFF Incoming faxes are not stored in memory,
but will print on paper. Voice calls are not
stored in memory.
Setting Up Message Manager
You must set up Message Manager in the following order:

Set the Message Store.

Record the Message Manager’s Outgoing Message (TAD
MESSAGE).

Turn Message Manager Plus OFF (Menu, 9, 1) if it is ON (Only for
FAX-930).

Activate Message Manager (TAD) Mode by pressing .
Setting the Message Store
Select the setting from the descriptions of “Flexible Memory Settings”.

Press Menu, 8, 1. The screen prompts you to choose a DOC
(Document) setting.

Press Z or X to select ON (or OFF).

Press Set. The screen prompts you to choose a VOICE setting.
VOICE:ON
