High Speed Error Diffusion
Halftoning method best suited for most printing and the default setting
for the BJC-5100. The High Speed ED setting prints faster than Error
Diffusion with slightly less quality.
Hue
A color in the color spectrum. Examples are red, green, and violet.
ICM
Image Color Management. One of three color management settings
under Windows 98 and Windows 95 operating systems. ICM is a
standard created specifically to enhance photo quality printing.
IEEE
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Ink Cartridge Storage Box
A box for storing a BJ cartridge. A BJ cartridge removed from the printer
must be stored inside this container to prevent the print head of the
cartridge from drying and clogging.
Intensity
The amount of color. More intense or more saturated colors are more
pure. Less intense or less saturated colors are less vivid.
Interface
The connection between two devices that makes it possible for them to
communicate with each other. This printer features a parallel interface,
which makes it compatible with IBM and similar personal computers.
Landscape orientation
Refers to printing across the length of the page (as opposed to portrait
orientation printing across the width of the page). The term landscape is
derived from pictures of the landscape, which are usually horizontal in
format.
LPT1
Parallel port number 1.
Manual feed
A method of feeding paper to the printer one sheet at a time.
