3.7 Setting Up General Node Information
The first ONS 15327 provisioning task to perform is setting up basic node information. If the node
will be connected to a LAN or other ONS nodes, the information that you enter for the node, such
as node name and IP address, must be coordinated with your network administrator.
Procedure: Set Up General Node Information
Step 1 Log into CTC on the ONS 15327 node you are provisioning.
Step 2 Click the Provisioning > General tabs.
Step 3 Enter the following information:
Node Name—Type a name for the node.
Contact—Type the contact person’s name for the node contact and the phone number
(optional).
Location—(Optional).
Description—Type the description of the node’s location.
Latitude—Type the node’s latitude in the Nddmmssfff format, where d=degrees,
m=minutes, s=seconds, and f=fractional seconds.
Longitude—Type the node’s longitude in the Wdddmmssfff format, where d=degrees,
m=minutes, s=seconds, and f=fractional seconds.
