3.7 Setting Up General Node Information
The first ONS 15327 provisioning task to perform is setting up basic node information. If the node
will be connected to a LAN or other ONS nodes, the information that you enter for the node, such
as node name and IP address, must be coordinated with your network administrator.
Procedure: Set Up General Node Information
Step 1 Log into CTC on the ONS 15327 node you are provisioning.
Step 2 Click the Provisioning > General tabs.
Step 3 Enter the following information:
• Node Name—Type a name for the node.
• Contact—Type the contact person’s name for the node contact and the phone number
(optional).
• Location—(Optional).
• Description—Type the description of the node’s location.
• Latitude—Type the node’s latitude in the Nddmmssfff format, where d=degrees,
m=minutes, s=seconds, and f=fractional seconds.
• Longitude—Type the node’s longitude in the Wdddmmssfff format, where d=degrees,
m=minutes, s=seconds, and f=fractional seconds.
