Note:
Before transporting the scanner, remove the Transparency Unit and
return the shipping screw to its original shipping hole. See
“Transporting the Scanner and the Transparency Unit” on page 7-4 for
details.
Installing the Transparency Unit
Follow the steps below to install the Transparency Unit on the
scanner.
1. Make sure the scanner is turned off, and unplug the power
cord.
2. Remove the document cover from the scanner by lifting
straight up on its back edge. (See page 4-6)
3. Slide the mounting slots on the Transparency Unit under the
two installation screws attached to the scanner.
