Adjusting the volume in Windows 2000
You can use the volume controls to adjust the overall volume and the volume
of specific sound devices in your computer.
To adjust the overall volume level using hardware controls:
■ On the keyboard, press the volume system key combination (FN+ or
F
N+ ) to change the volume, or press the mute system key combination
(F
N+ ) to turn off all sound.
To adjust the overall volume level from Windows:
■ Click the speaker icon on the taskbar, then drag the slider to change
the volume or click to select the
Mute check box.
