Integrated Help Tool
Pressing the Help G button on your keyboard
accesses the Help and Support Center, which
provides:
■ Answers to questions about your hardware or
software.
■ Help installing new peripherals or software
applications.
■ Resolutions to hardware or software problems.
■ Access to the latest drivers, updates, and
downloads.
Preparing to Ship the PC
If you have to ship the PC to Compaq for service:
■ Back up the hard disk drive.
■ Make sure the backup media are not exposed
to electrical or magnetic impulses.
■ Remove any diskette, CD, or DVD from the
drive, and store it separately.
■ Insert a blank diskette (floppy) into the disk
drive.
■ Turn off the PC and external devices.
■ Disconnect all power cords from the electrical
outlet and then from the PC and external
devices.
■ Pack the PC and external devices in their
original packing boxes or in sufficient packing
material to protect them.
