Using media
Supported types of media
You can select the following types of media at the control panel and in the printer driver:
The media types listed in the tables in the following sections have met these criteria:
• They have been tested in this printer.
• They have proven to be of good quality.
• They work well with the printer’s settings.
Note
The printer uses heat and pressure to fuse toner to the paper. Make sure that any colored paper or preprinted
forms use inks that are compatible with the printer fusing temperature (200° C, or 392° F, for 0.1 second).
To optimize print quality, it is important to match the media you are using with the media type configuration.
