6642 Pen Computer User’s Guide
Why do I get the message Operating System not found?
" Insert a boot up disk into the external floppy disk
drive/port expander, then check the condition of the
hard disk.
" Check the hard disk status from the setup utility.
Check the size of the hard disk and make sure the
Hard Disk Drive Type in the Main menu is set to
Auto.
Problems with Display
Why is the screen blank?
" Press any key to see if power management has turned
off the screen to save power.
" Check the power LED to see if the pen computer has
power.
" If you are using the internal battery pack, make sure
it has charge remaining. If you are using the expanĆ
sion battery pack, make sure it is connected correctly
and has charge remaining.
" Press the power switch, wait 10 seconds and try turning
the power back on.
" If you cannot restart the pen computer using the above
procedure, press the reset button with the stylus pen, loĆ
cated on the bottom of the 6642 and turn off the system.
Wait 10 seconds and turn the pen computer back on.
Why is there no display on the external monitor?
" Confirm that the monitor is powered on.
" Confirm that the monitor is connected correctly.
" Check that the display setting is not set for external
CRT monitor.
