Clearing a jam in the optional 500-sheet tray (Tray 2)
If the media did not feed correctly from the optional 500-sheet tray (Tray 2), the jam is in the tray. The operator panel
indicates a 242.xx Paper Jam.
1 Open the optional 500-sheet tray.
2 Pull the jammed media out.
3 Insert the tray into the support unit.
If the media fed from Tray 2, but is caught between Tray 1 and Tray 2 in the media path, the operator panel indicates a
242.xx Paper Jam, also.
1 Open the optional 500-sheet tray.
2 Grasp the jammed media on both sides, and pull it out gently to avoid tearing it.
3 Insert the tray into the support unit.
