Troubleshooting
When nozzle missing occurs due to ink mixture or aeration
Push out ink and air in the head from the port.
Use this when ink has been mixed in the port, or nozzle missing due to aeration occurs.
In addition, if nozzle missing cannot be solved even if you performed cleaning because it has not been used for
long time (for about two weeks), perform air purge.

Select [AIR PG] of the maintenance menu.
(1) Press the key in LOCAL.
(2) Press to select [MAINTENANCE] and press the key.
(3) Press to select [AIR PG].

Start air purge by pressing the key.
• When completing air purge, press the key to proceed to the
Step 10.

Select the damper to air purge.
• Select the damper with the key
• Selectable unit is two types of “MMCC_ _ _ _” and “_ _ _ _YYKK”.

Press the key.

Press the key.
• The carriage moves onto the wiper.
• Wait for a while until preparation for opening the port has been
completed.

Open the right maintenance cover, and set the jig
into the port.
• Remove the port corresponding to the damper selected in
the Step 3 only. Perform this one by one.
• The head corresponding to the damper
selected in the Step 3 moves on the wiper.
• When removing the jig, ink may leak. Put a
paper towel etc. around the port.
