4) If you have been printing with the multi-purpose tray, check the paper
pick-up area first. If there is a paper jam here, remove the paper by pulling
it in the direction of the arrow.

CAUTION: The fixing assembly area becomes extremely hot when the
printer has been operated for some time. Never touch this area
when the printer is open. Otherwise, personal injury may
result.
5) If you are using the cassette paper feeder, pull out the cassette and check
the paper pick-up area. If there is a paper jam here, remove the jammed
paper before replacing the cassette.
