The followingrules are observed.cnl> and d> give the numberof bytes of
characterdata that will follow.cm is the charactercodeof the frostcharacter
defined.al> andCU2>areattributesbytes.’<all>tocdll> arethecharacterdata,
andarethesameasin cESC> “&”. Theatrnbutebyted> indicateswhetherthe
characters anascender(notusingthelowestofthenineverticddots)ora descender
(notusingthehighestdot)and whetherit hasa downwardextensionto 12dots.
The atrnbutebyted?> givesproportional-spacinginformation.Bit7 is ignored.
Bits4 to6 specifytheoffsettothefwstbyteprinted(Oto7),enablingleadingspaces
inthecharactertobeignored.BitsOto3 specifythewidthofthecharactercell(maxi-
mum 11dots).The characterwillbe followedby a mandato~ blankdot column
whichisnotincludedin thiswidth.
Charactersdefinedby thiscommandcanbe selectedby cESb % 1,cESC> 14,
cESC> 15, orcESC> 16.
