WordPerfectmustbe installedbeforeyoucan selecta printer.Referto the
“Installation”sectioninyourWordPerfectManual.Oncethisisdone,follow
thepmcedumbelowto selecta printer.
1)Press [Shift] and [F7],thenselect[S]SelectPrinter.
2) Select[2]AdditionalPrinters,whichdisplaysthe SelectPrinterscreen.
3) From the list of definedprinters,selecteither HP LaserJetIIP (or HP
LaserJetII), EpsonFX-850,thenpress [RETURN].
4) Press[RETURN]to acceptthedisplayedprinterfilenameorenteranew
name, then press [F7] Exit. The Select Printer: Edit screen will be
displayed.
5) Now you must specifythe interfaceconnection.Select [2] Port at the
SelectPrinter:Editmenu,whichdisplaysa listof ports.
6) If youareusinga parallelinterface,forLPT1,type“l”.
7) If youareusingaserialinterface,forCOM1,type“4”.TheWordPerfect
willdisplaytheSelectPrinter:COMportmenu.
You mustnow speci~ the serialparameters,includingbaud rate,parity,
stopbits,characterlengthand
XoN/XoIIJfunction.Besurethatyouspecifythe
samevaluesin WordPerfectasyoudo for theStarLaserPrinter4. To save
yourWordPerfectselections,pnxs [F7] to exittheprogram.
