2. SIMPLE TROUBLESHOOTING
Check the following items, and if the problem still occurs, call service for assistance.
Copier does not start
Countermeasure
Insert the power cord plug firmly.
Close the covers properly.

Has the message “Add toner”
appeared on the screen?
Is the copy density adjustment
set lighter than is standard?
Countermeasure
Replace the toner cartridge.
Use the manual density keys to set the copy
density properly.
Copy density is too low

Press the START or
ENERGY SAVER
key
on the control panel to clear the automatic energy
saving mode. (It takes a while for the copier to
become ready.)
Press
START key to return the power ‘ON’ .
Key in the correct department code.
* If the department code is not clear, ask your
copier manager.
If you are using a key copy counter, insert it
into the slot.
Wait until the copier becomes ready.
Is the copier in the automatic
energy saving mode?
Is the power ‘OFF’ because the
weekly timer is functioned?
Is the department code keyed in?
Is the department code correct?
Is a key copy counter (optional)

Is the “Warming up” message
