E-mail Overview (Optional Feature)
E-mail is an optional feature that allows you to send
electronic-mail messages without using a template. The
system must be connected to the network.
The Key Operator or Administrator can limit access to this
feature by enabling Authentication. When Authentication is
active you will be required to login before using the E-mail
feature. Remember to log out to prevent unauthorised access.
Getting to Know the Process
Sending an E-mail Message
1. The system scans the original paper document and
creates a digital file.
2. The system transfers the digital file and routing information
to a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) Repository on
a Server.
3. The Network Server retrieves the digital file from the SMTP
Repository, processes it and sends it to the destination.
