The following table describes the parameters in this screen. Settings in boldface are the default and
suggested parameter settings.
NOTE: When the device is disabled, all the sub-items will be showed as [--].
Parameter Description Options
Serial Port Enables or disables the serial port.
The serial port is a PnP device. Enabled/Disabled
setting won’t affect the setting of the serial port in
device manager of Windows.
When enabled, you can set the base I/O address and
interrupt request (IRQ) of the serial port.

Parallel Port Enables or disable the parallel port.
The parallel port is a PnP device. Enabled/Disabled
setting won’t affect the Windows Device Manager
setting of the parallel port.
Sets operation mode of the parallel port.
Only set the parallel post operation mode in BIOS
setup. If set to be ECP mode, the Windows will
assume the parallel port as the ECP port.
If operation mode is set to Base I/O address, sets the
base I/O address, of the parallel port.
If operation mode is set to interrupt, sets the interrupt
request of the parallel port.
If operation mode is set to ECP DMA Channel, sets
the direct memory access (DMA) channel for the
printer to operate in ECP mode. This parameter is
enabled only if operation mode is set to ECP.
