To remove the SmartCard press the SmartCard eject button (a) and
remove the Sma rtC a rd (b) a s shown in the illustra tion below.

Registering your smart card
Important! Your Ac er notebook is equipped with a smart c ard
sec urity feature that protec ts the c omputer from unauthorized
ac c ess. If you enable this feature, please make sure that your
warranty card is c ompleted and sent bac k to Ac er. This
information will be used by Acer service centers to confirm
ownership in c a se your sma rt c a rd "key" is lost or da ma ge d.
Registering your notebook with Acer's service center is extremely
important when replacing your lost smart card "key".
If you have already bypassed the smart c ard registration, please
reinstall the application as follows:
1 Double -c lic k on setup.exe loc a te d in C :\ Wla n\ Sma rtAP.
2 Follow the onscreen instructions.
To enable the smart c ard sec urity feature, please refer to your
SmartC ard user manual.
