Port expansion devices
Two types of expansion devices are available for your computer:
I/O replicator - adds serial port and parallel port connections to
your c omputer.
EasyPort - adds a host of ports for your c omputer, and allows you
to c onne c t a nd disc onne c t periphe ra ls from your c ompute r in one
quick step.

Upgrade options
Your computer delivers superior power and performance. However,
some users and the applic ations they use may demand more. This
c omputer allows you to upgrade key c omponents when you need
increased performance.
Note: Contact your authorized dealer if you decide to perform a
key component upgrade.
Memory upgrade
Memory is expa nda ble to 1024 MB or 1 G B, employing 128/ 256/ 512-MB
and supports 133 Mhz industry standard soDIMMs (Small Outline Dual
Inline Memory Modules). The c omputer supports SDRAM
(Sync hronous Dynamic Random Ac c ess Memory).
There are two memory slots on your c omputer, one of whic h is
occupied by standard memory. You can upgrade memory by installing
a memory module into the available slot, or replacing the standard
memory with a higher-capacity memory module.
Installing memory
Follow these steps to install memory:
1 Turn off the computer, unplug the AC adapter (if connected) and
remove the battery pack. Then turn the computer over to access
its base.
