3 Troubleshooting your computer

The size of the free disk spac e on your hard disk is less than the
re quire d size .
For e xa mple , if the onboa rd me mory (inc lud ing vid eo me mory) is
64MB, the total free disk spac e required will be around 64MB. If
the total free disk space is less than this, you have to free up space
on the hard disk.
The hard disk has enough free space, but this free space exists as
small fragments.
The free disk space that Sleep Manager requires needs to be
c ontiguous. To solve this prob lem, use tools suc h a s Disk
Defragmenter (Windows) to c ompact these free disk spaces. Then
run Sleep Manager again to create the file.
Disk c ompression utilities are used.
Sleep Manager c an work with most c ompression software.
However, Sleep Manager ca n only c reate the space on a host drive.
A host drive store s origina l file informa tion a nd c a nnot be
compressed. The free space on the host drive is usually very small,
so the compression software needs to be run again to enlarge the
size of the host (uncompressed) drive for Sleep Manager.
