Power Management
Hard Disk Power Down Mode [Disabled] (*APM feature)
This field sets when to power down all the IDE hard disk drives in the system. The
hard disks automatically wake up when any specified system activity is detected.
Available options: [Disabled] [Stand By] [Suspend]
Standby / Suspend Time Out (Minute) [Disabled] (*APM feature)
These fields set the period of inactivity before the system is put to standby/ suspend
mode. The system automatically wakes up when any specified system activity is
detected. Available options: [Disabled] [1] [2] [4] [8] [10] [20] [30] [40] [50] [60]
Throttle Slow Clock Ratio [37.5-50%] (*APM feature)
This field determines the duty cycle of the STPCLK# signal when the system is in
throttling mode. In other words, it configures the percentage by which the CPU
slows down when the system enters power-saving mode.
Modem Use IRQ [N/A] (*APM feature)
Leave on default setting.
Display Activity [Ignore] (*APM feature)
Set this field to [Monitor] if you want the system to monitor any display activity that
takes place while the system is in power-saving mode. Available options: [Ignore]
[Monitor]

Select [Monitor] if you want the system to wake up from power-saving mode when
there is activity detected from the specified IRQ channels. Available options: [Ig-
nore] [Monitor]
System Thermal [Ignore]
The onboard hardware monitor is able to detect the CPU and motherboard tempera-
tures. Set to [Monitor] to use this feature.
Thermal Slow Clock Ratio [50-56.25%]
This field determines the duty cycle of the STPCLK# signal when the THRM# pin
is asserted low. In other words, this feature sets the percentage by which the CPU
slows down when the CPU is overheated. NOTE: To access this field, the System
Thermal field must be set to [Monitor].
Power Button Function [On/Off]
When set to [On/Off], the ATX switch can be used as a normal system power-off
button when pressed for less than 4 seconds. [Suspend] allows the button to have a
dual function where pressing less than 4 seconds will place the system in sleep
mode. Regardless of the setting, holding the ATX switch for more than 4 seconds
will power off the system. NOTE: This field is only effective in APM OS system.
Available options: [On/Off] [Suspend]
