Nothing appears in the LCD.
The power cord may not be connected securely.
Check that the power cord is connected securely into the machine and into the wall
outlet. Insert the power cord straight into the power cord connector on the left side of
the machine. Do not insert it at an angle. Otherwise, the machine may not be properly
connected to the power supply and may not turn on. If this happens, disconnect the
power cord, and reconnect it correctly after a minute or more. If the LCD remains
blank, disconnect the machine and wait more than 10 minutes until the temperature
inside the machine lowers, then reconnect it. If the LCD remains blank, disconnect the
machine, and call your local authorized Canon dealer.
The [Energy Saver] key lights up.
The Energy Saver mode is activated. To restore the machine from the Energy Saver
mode, press [Energy Saver].
The letter “E” and numbers appear in the LCD.
An abnormality has occurred in the machine.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply and wait more than 10 minutes, then
reconnect it. If the message is still displayed, disconnect the machine and call your
local authorized Canon dealer.
