Feeding Paper
When the printer is off-line, you can use the LF/FF button to advance
the paper in the printer. You can perform a line feed or a form feed, or
you can eject a sheet of paper.
Line feeding
When a sheet of paper is loaded and the printer is off-line, press the
LF/FF button to advance the paper one line. Press the button repeatedly
to feed as many lines as you want.
Form feeding
When you are loading paper, make sure the printer is off-line and press
the LF/FF button to load the first sheet of paper to its top of form. Set
the printer back on-line to print. (If you are running a software
application, you don't need to perform this step. The application the
printer when to load paper.)
Ejecting paper
When you want to eject a sheet of paper, make sure the printer is off-
line and press the LF/FF button for one second. The printer ejects the
current sheet of paper.
Selecting a Print Mode
Your printer incorporates two print modes that allow you to choose
between print speed and print quality:
You use the PRINT MODE button to select the current print mode
when the printer is off-line. Pressing this button once selects HQ mode,
pressing it again selects SHQ mode, and pressing it again selects HS
mode. The HS and HQ lights indicate which mode is selected. (When
both the HS and HQ lights are on, the printer is in SHQ mode.)
Select your printer modes as follow:
