Loading the document

For a multipage document, tap the
document on a flat surface to even the
stack.
You can load up to 20 A4 or letter size sheets, or
10 legal size sheets at a time into the Automatic
Document Feeder (ADF).

Insert the document face-down and
head first into the Automatic Document
Feeder (ADF) until you hear a beep.
The fax automatically feeds the pages one by one
from the bottom.
If a page jams or stops while feeding, see Clearing
document jams p. 62.

Adjust the right paper guide to the width
of the document.
For legal-size documents, flip the extension tray
open to accomadate the document.
If you are experiencing difficulty feeding
multipage documents, slant the edges of the stack
and insert the document into the Automatic
Document Feeder (ADF).
