Checking the LEDs
Step 5 Press the power control button on the front of the device.
The system should begin booting. Once the operating system boots, you are ready
to initialize the basic software configuration. (See the “Related Documentation”
section on page xiii for a list of software configuration documents.)
Note While the device is powering up, the power LED on the front of the
chassis is green.
Note You can install a circular disk over the power control button to prevent accidental
manual power down. This disk, known as the power control button shield, comes
with the device.
Checking the LEDs
When the device is up and running, observe the front panel LEDs. To verify that
your system is operating properly, see the “LED Indicators” section on page 1-7.
Removing or Replacing a Cisco Wide Area
Application Engine

Before working on a system that has an on/off switch, turn OFF the power and
unplug the power cord.
