Chapter 3 EnergyWise CLI Commands
energywise (global configuration)
Command Default EnergyWise is disabled.
The switch interfaces do not respond to save queries.
The interfaces respond to set queries.
The end-point and management passwords are not set.
The importance is 1.
Keywords are not defined.
The power level is 10.
The tcp-port-number is 43440.
The name is the hostname.
level level Sets the power level.
The range is from 0 to 10.
name name Specifies the EnergyWise-specific entity name.
You can enter alphanumeric characters and symbols such as #, (, $, !, and
&.
Do not enter an asterisk (*) or a blank space between the characters or
symbols.
neighbor [hostname|
ip-address]
udp-port-number
Assigns a static neighbor:
(Optional) DNS (Domain Name System) hostname (hostname) or IP
address (ip-address).
UDP port (udp-port-number) that sends and receives queries.
The range is from 1 to 65000.
role role Specifies the role of the entity in the EnergyWise domain. For example,
lobby.b20.
You can enter alphanumeric characters and symbols such as #, (, $, !, and
&.
Do not enter an asterisk (*) or a blank space between the characters or
symbols.
management security
shared-secret [0 | 7]
mgmt-password [port
tcp-port-number]
Sets the management password for the management station communicating
with the domain.
(Optional) 0—Uses an unencrypted password.
(Optional) 7—Uses a hidden password.
If you do not enter 0 or 7, the default is 0.
For the mgmt-password
You can enter alphanumeric characters and symbols such as #, (, $,
!, and &.
Do not enter an asterisk (*) or a blank space between the characters
or symbols.
(Optional) port tcp-port-number—Specifies the TCP port for
management access. The port number range is from 1025 to 65535.
