4.7.2 Error Details
(1) Home position error:
When the power is turned on, the printing head is moved to the left end, to set the home position, but this
error will occur if the mechanism does not function due to a mechanical lock, etc., the paper is jamming,
or the printer cannot be brought to the home position within the specified time. The BUSY (DTR) and
FAULT (parallel only) signals are output to the outside.
(2)
Paper end:
This error occurs when the printing paper runs out or has not been inserted. Insert it as described in “4.4
Inserting the Printing Paper (Rolled).” The ERROR lamp will be turned off if it is properly inserted. The
BUSY (DTR) and FAULT (parallel only) signals are output to the outside. If this error is reset, the output
signals will be also reset.
CAUTION
:
If the home position error occurs often, turn off the power and consult the dealer where
you purchased the printer. If the printer is properly connected, but the POWER lamp is
not illuminated or it malfunctions, stop using it and contact the dealer.
If the printer emits smoke, catches fire, or fails to print, stop using it immediately and
turn off the power. Never repair or disassemble the printer.
When eliminating the reason for the error, such as a paper jam, etc., be sure to turn off
the power.
Immediately after printing is done or an alarm occurs, the printing head, motor, and
their surroundings may be hot. Be careful not to avoid burn injury.
