Viewing the Receive and Transmit Activity
Youcanviewthe7H4385‐49receiveandtransmitportactivityontheRXandTXLEDs.
However,onlyonegroupof12portsmaybeviewedatatime.
Toviewthereceiveandtransmitactivityonagroupof7H4385‐49segments,pressthe
GROUPSELECTbutton(seeFigure 4‐
1)forlessthanonesecondtosteptothegroupof
interest(Groups1through4).EachtimetheGROUPSELECTbuttonispressedforless
thanonesecond,theGROUPLEDlightsupinsequence,indicatingwhichgroupis
selected.Thereceiveandtransmitactivityforthatgroup
ofsegmentsisthenindicatedby
theRXandTXLEDsforeachport.

Ifthe7H4385‐49isinstalledinanN5chassisorisreceiving48Vdcfromanexternal
N‐POEPowerSystemtosupportconnectionstoPDs(PoweredDevices),youcanviewthe
powerstatusindicationsontheRXandTXLEDs.However,onlyonegroupof12ports
maybe
viewedatatime.ToviewthePoEportstatus,refertoFigure 4‐1andproceed as
follows:
1. PresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonformorethanonesecond.The7H4385‐49willenter
thePoEportstatusmode.
2. Now,everytimeyoupresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonforlessthana
second,the
GROUPLEDlightsupinsequence,indicatingwhichGroupisselected.ThePoE
POWERSTATUSforthatgroupofsegmentsisthenindicatedbytheRXandTXLEDs
foreachsegment.Ifthereispowerattheport,theRXLEDisgreenandtheTXLEDis
off.Otherwise,refertoTable 4‐1fortroubleshootinginformation.
