Reassembly Notes
Note: Installing a New Top Case Assembly
Transfer the icon PCA from the old top case to the new one.
• Starting at one corner, fully engage the tabs across the front edge of the top case, then lower it
onto the bottom case.
Removing the Motherboard or Bottom Case
(HP Authorized Service Providers Only)
Required Equipment
• Small Phillips screwdriver.
• 5 mm hex driver.
Removal Procedure
1. Unplug the ac adapter, if present, and remove the battery.
