Using digital-sending settings
The digital-sending settings page of the embedded Web server allows you to configure
e-mail settings for outgoing and incoming mail. This enables you to use “send and
receive” capabilities. Through this page, you can:
● enable and disable the digital-sending service and establish a maximum file size.
● set the SMTP address for digital-sending.
● set an alias to be displayed in the From field to replace the full e-mail address.
● set the default Subject field.
● use advanced features:
• establish fixed default Message Text.
• establish default document settings.
Note Scanned documents are sent as attachments to e-mail.
● test digital-sending settings using the screen’s Test button.
LDAP addressing settings
The LDAP addressing settings:
● enable and disable an internal address book.
● establish LDAP parameters to allow access to a centralized network address book.
● enable the Test button to verify configuration.
Preferences settings
The Preferences settings:
● set default scanner settings:
• default document size.
• default document type: text, mixed or photo.
• two-sided page.
● set administrator contact information to allow notification of errors that require your
attention.
