36 Toner Monitoring and Supply Management
The status monitor will start automatically when you print a label for the first time. You may also
start it manually by going to Start - All Programs - PTPrint - Status Monitor. The status monitor can
be used for the following tasks.
• Monitor Toner Status
• Monitor Label Supplies
• Estimate Cost per Label
• Track Used Toner usage levels
• Print Supplies Sheets
To navigate to the various functions of the Status monitor click on the menu items on the left.
6.1 Estimating Cost Per Label (Quote Tool)
Using the quote tool inside status monitor software it is possible to estimate the cost per label before
actually running job. Use the following procedure to estimate cost per label.
1. Setup the label using the instructions in Section 5 of this manual.
2. Print one page of the label job you intend to print. This is extremely important. The quote tool
is based on the last label printed and is most accurate if the label was printed as a one page
print.
3. Open the Status Monitor. (It automatically opens after you print.)
