Note
❒ Depending on the model you use,
the Network Interface Board , the
1394 Interface Unit, and the
802.11b Interface Unit cannot be
installed to the printer at the same
time. For more information, see
p.11 “Installing Options”.
Important
❒ Before touching the Network In-
terface Board, touch something
metal to discharge any static elec-
tricity. Static electricity can dam-
age the Network Interface Board.
❒ Use the shielded twisted-pair
(STP) network interface cable.

Check the contents of the box for
the following items:
• Network Interface Board
• Ferrite Core
• Installation Guide

Confirm that the followings are
true:
• The power switch is turned off.
• The interface cable is un-
plugged from the printer.
Note
❒ The interface cable is not includ-
ed in the box. Make sure that the
interface cable you use is appro-
priate for your computer.
❒ If the Duplex Unit is not at-
tached, go to step
