Connecting the GPIB
Observe these rules when you set up the AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter
with a GPIB system:
H Connect only one AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter on a given GPIB.
H Each device on the bus needs a unique device address. No two
devices can share the same device address.
H Do not connect more than 15 devic es to any one bus.
H Connect one device for every 2 m (6 ft) of cable used.
H Do not use more than 20 m (65 ft) of c able to connect devices to
a bus.
H Turn on at le ast two-thirds of the devices on the GPIB system
while you use the system.
H Configure the devices on the system as shown in Figure 7. Do not
use loop or parallel configurati ons.
