Using the Floppy Drive
q If a floppy appears to be damaged, make a copy of it, if you can, and
immediately discard the damaged floppy.
q Before turning off the computer, always remove a floppy from the floppy
drive.
Inserting a Floppy Into the Drive
Insert a floppy diskette into the TravelMate 3000 WinSX floppy drive as follows.
1. Insert the floppy into the drive slot with the label side up and the metal-
shutter end first.
2. Gently push the floppy into the slot until the floppy clicks into place.
3. To remove a floppy, press the eject button until the floppy pops out.
Cautions: Failure to observe the following precautions can damage both the
data on the floppy and the floppy drive.
* Never remove a floppy from the drive while the indicator light on the floppy drive
and the Floppy Disk indicator light on the indicator panel are on.
* Always remove a floppy from the drive before turning off the computer.
