Removing the battery from the computer
CAUTION: When handling batteries, don’t drop or knock them.
Also be careful not to damage the casing or short-circuit the
terminals.
To remove the battery:
1 Save your work.
2 Shut down and turn off the computer.
3 Remove all cables connected to the computer.
4 Turn the computer over.
5 Slide the battery lock up and slide the release latch to the
left.
6 Insert a fingertip in the battery pack recessed area and
pull the discharged battery module out of the computer.
Unlocking the battery
