4.30.8 Replacing the 14.1-inch XGA TOSHIBA Fluorescent Lamp
CAUTION: When you replace the fluorescent lamp, wear finger covers or gloves to
avoid contaminating or damaging the LCD module. Be careful not to let dust or other
foreign substances into the LCD module.
Disassembling the 14.1-inch XGA TOSHIBA Fluorescent Lamp
To disassemble the 14.1-inch XGA TOSHIBA fluorescent lamp, follow the steps below and
refer to figures 4-138 to 4-142.
Peeling off the tapes and insulation sheets
1. Flip the module over and place it on a flat surface that is free of foreign objects.
2. In the order (1), (2), and (3) shown in Figure 4-138, remove the tape for fixing the FL
tube cable, two pieces of tape on the bezel that are close to the FL tube, and the X-
PCB insulation sheet.
CAUTION: 1) Use care not to damage the TAB.
2) Leave the insulation sheet on the bezel to allow the reuse of the sheet.
