Basic Operation
Selecting Interference Eliminator Codes
Many drivers use special codes in their radios to prevent
interference from other nearby radio systems. These
codes are commonly referred to as CTCSS, DCS, or
subaudible tones. You can use these same codes to
prevent interference from other systems.
1. Press 0, rotate the scroll control to select the race,
then press E.
2. Press CAR, enter the driver’s number, press E or
CAR, press E, rotate the scroll control to select the
driver, then press E.
3. Rotate the scroll control to select the driver’s
frequency, then press E.
4. Press E to enter the channel setting menu.
5. Rotate the scroll control to select SET CTCSS/DCS, then
press E.
6. Enter the correct CTCSS/DCS value, then press E.
7. Press Hold to set the selection
Selecting Systems to Scan
To select systems to scan, press Scan then press the
number button corresponding to the quick key assigned
to the system or systems. To stop scanning the
system(s), press Scan again.
The SYS indicators on the display show the systems that
are currently selected.
To select or lock out a system that is not assigned to a
key, press and hold while you rotate the scroll
control until the desired system is selected. Then,
continue to hold and press L/O to either lock out or
unlock the system.
