If You Are Having Difficulty with Your MFC
If you think there is a problem with your MFC, make a copy first. If the copy looks
good, the problem is probably not your MFC. Check the table below and follow the
troubleshooting tips.
Printing or Receiving Faxes

Condensed Print and If your copy looks good, you probably had a bad

Poor Quality Print Clean the ink cartridges (see p. 2-15). Make sure the
Printer Driver matches the type of paper you are using
(see “Print Media” on p. 23-4). If you are using plain paper,
try using recommended special paper (see Chapter 3).
Don’t handle the paper until the ink is dry; special paper
takes longer to dry. Check and adjust the alignment
(see p. 2-13).
Printing Too Dark or Make sure the Printer Driver matches the type

Printouts Have You may have installed an ink cartridge in the wrong

installed the cartridge. Replace the ink cartridge and make
sure you answer the prompts correctly.
