Consult the \readme\nt351std.txt, \readme\nt351dur.txt,
\readme\nt40std.txt, or \readme\nt40dur.txt files for the latest driver
information and installation instructions. Some procedures
or information may have changed or may not have been
available when this user’s guide was printed.
The Windows NT 4.0 driver is in the \winnt\386 directory. To install
the Windows NT 4.0 driver for the ANA-6944/TX, your computer
must support PCI-to-PCI bridge chips. See Chapter 2, Installing Your
Adapter, for information on how to determine if your computer sup-
ports PCI-to-PCI bridge chips.
Note:
These instructions are for Windows NT 4.0 only. To
install drivers for Windows 3.51, see the \readme\nt351std.txt
file.
Installing the Standard Driver for Windows NT 4.0
Note:
These instructions apply to standard drivers only. If
your adapter shipped with Duralink software, see Installing
the Duralink Driver for Windows NT 4.0 on page 4-14 or refer
to the readme\nt40dur.txt file.

Place an Adaptec PCI adapter (such as ANA-6911A/TX) in the
system.

Boot your system with Windows NT 4.0.

Double-click the My Computer icon.

Double-click the Control Panel icon.

Double-click the Network icon.
Note:
If no drivers are currently installed for Adaptec or
Cogent PCI adapters, skip to step 13.
