Isolated Noise Filter Banks
The S20BLK isolated noise filer banks (INFB) eliminate electromagnetic and radio
frequency interference (EMI and RFI) that, when severe enough, can negatively
impact sound and video quality. Each filter bank is electrically isolated from the
other filter banks to prevent noise generated by one component from polluting other
connected components. APC's noise filtering helps enable your system to perform to
its maximum capabilities.
Rack-mountable
The rack-mount hardware kit is provided to mount the unit into any standard, 4-post,
19" rack. The rack-mount kit includes: two rails, two ear brackets, two cleats,
screws, and an instruction sheet.
Removable Support Feet
The feet on the bottom of the unit can be unscrewed and removed to save space when
the unit is rack-mounted.
ON/OFF Sequencing
This feature ensures connected equipment is powered up and powered down in the
proper sequence, with the right amount of delay between stages. It allows you to
program a delay ranging between 0 and 10 seconds into a sequence. This delay
eliminates transients that can affect connected components, or that may cause the
building circuit breaker to trip.
Outlet ON/OFF Bank Control
This feature allows a user to turn each individual outlet bank (of a total of four outlet
banks) ON or OFF via the RS-232 serial port. All 12 outlets can be turned OFF and
ON simultaneously via the built-in NMC through any Web browser, but not
independently. This capability will be available in December of 2006 by
downloading the latest firmware from the APC Web site: www.apc.com.
Front and Rear Panel Descriptions
The following sections describe controls and indicators on the front and rear panels.
Front Panel Controls and Indicators
The front panel controls and indicators for the S20BLK Power Conditioner are
detailed in Figure 2. Each numbered callout refers to a corresponding numbered
description contained in the list that immediately follows Figure 2.
